Kite flying is my favorite sport. January 14th is celebrated as Makar Sankrant every year throughout India. Fighter kites are usually made of paper and bamboo sticks. The objective of the sport is to cut the string of your opponent. You loose you kite if you loose. Its fun, fast paced and needs great skills. Keep coming back and have a great time with kites here.

Samir, today do you make your own fighter kites, or do you buy them?

cheers,
bruce
Hi Bruce -
I have my kites shipped from India. I haven't found a good source in the US that gets me the same kind of kites I am used to flying. I plan to organize a fighter kite event in Minneapolis this summer. I will post some photos of the event.

Hi Samir,
I am a kite fan from Budapest, Hungary.
Would you write me the source of your kites in India. I keen to order some good ones.
Thanks,
Istvan
